Poem: Personal Ad Hell
No butches,
No bis,
No blacks.
No fat chicks,
No trannies,
No chaps.
Must be athletic;
a real girl, no prosthetics.
Long hair,
Very queer,
Good in the sack.
But I’m easy going,
If you’re young, hot and boring.
Why not give me a tinkle?
Cos for some reason I’m still single.
London preferred;
Brighton inferred.
Must drive,
Must drink,
Must not support Spurs!
Must own at least two...

A Poem: I Can’t Be Bi. I’m a Man.
I was saddened by the biphobia that’s on twitter. The sexist assumptions, the implied violence, and the awful spelling are just staggering. This is one of my ways of coping with it all.
All bi’s are girls.
All bi’s are ho’s.
They may look well fit
but my dick ain’t touching one of those.
No men are ever bi.
No blacks are ever queer.
Say different & you’re a liar;
nuthin I wanna...

The Story Behind The Story →
I was interviewed on KD Grace’s blog about why I wrote Bisexual Men.
“I wrote Bisexual Men because simply put, I’d hardly ever read about bisexual men as a subject or a group before. I could find books full of erotic stories about bisexual women, where the men were strictly heterosexual; even in threesome stories men would never touch each other. I knew that bisexual men...

Polyday 2011: Not strictly bi, but with so much... →
howbigisyourheart:
Polyday was brilliant! The day started off with me feeling quite emotional as I left home to travel to Holborn. I thought of all the times I’d been told that it was impossible to love more than one person, and that I must be some kind of a deviant for doing so. I got quite tearful thinking of how fortunate I was to be able to live in the present as a polyamorous,...

Response to letter to JMS Books
Unfortunately, we don’t have any editorial staff able to address stories that contain sex between genders. Also, my own marketing expertise lies in gay or lesbian promo, and I don’t think I could adequately promote a book whose sexual content is between a man and a woman. Other presses can handle that better than us at this point in time. I’m sorry. JM Snyder JMS Books LLC...

To JMS books, a GLBT press
I am all kinds of disappointed with this. It’s like Stonewall have branched out into publishing…
From the Submissions page: “JMS Books LLC is a small press specializing in gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender fiction”
And further down the page: (my bolding)
“What we don’t accept: We publish what we like to read. At this point in time, we are not ...

Let’s see how many links I can squash into this.
First off: I’ve joined twitter.
My tweets can be found at: http://twitter.com/applewriter
Right now, I’m off to buy vegan cupcakes for tomorrow’s erotic storytelling with Rachel Kramer Bussel at Sh! I’ll be reading my bisexual story, ‘Not with a bang, but a whimper’ which was inspired by the Pembury...

U.K site for Sikh LGBT people →
Looks a bit empty to start with, but the article page is definitely worth a look as it is full of interesting things. They also have a discussion forum and personals. Seems a bit male biased, but I still think it is a good resource.

Race diversity in the UK bi community →
Let’s hope people respond better to this than they have to past efforts. I love this following bit in particular:
“Please note: while it is great if people of colour who are part of the bi community (or even those who aren’t!) are willing to share their experiences and explain the problems they have encountered, it is not their responsibility to do that, to educate others or...

A walk of repentence for homophobia →
Symon Hill is doing something outstanding.
“In the summer of 2011, I will walk from Birmingham to London (in Britain) as a pilgrimage of repentance for my former homophobic attitudes and behaviour.”
Symon will be stopping off at churches along the way, giving talks and attending worship. I wish him all the best. If he makes it out of North London in one piece, he’ll have...

Book reading in July →
I’ll be doing a joint reading at Sh! Womenstore in London on Saturday 2nd July 2011. Rachel Kramer Bussel will be in the U.K to head up readings from a selection of books, including the IPPY Gold Award book, Orgasmic. There will be cupcakes, and as I’m going to get a box of them from Ms Cupcake, the really nice ones will be vegan!
I’m really looking forward to it. I...

An award! →
Orgasmic: edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel.
One of the books that has a story of mine just won a gold award for Erotica! I’m particularly pleased ‘What’s in a name?’ is in this collection. It’s a story about what happens when you call out the wrong name at an important moment. Not that it’s ever happened to me… well, not often. Let’s just say...

HOW TO MAKE LOVE TO A TRANS PERSON
By Gabe Moses
Forget the images you’ve learned to attach To words like cock and clit, Chest and breasts. Break those words open Like a paramedic cracking ribs To pump blood through a failing heart. Push your hands inside. Get them messy. Scratch new definitions on the...

Hurt
If half of me gets stabbed, all of me feels the pain.
I don’t often read the papers, because I end up getting very depressed, very quickly. However I did hear about the Ugandan queer rights activist found dead on 27th January 2011, and also about a lesbian threatened with deportation from the U.K to Uganda. When I opened the Guardian newspaper, I was shocked to see the photo above. ...

Writing: cause and effects
I use my real name when I write smut. I never want to hide a big chunk of myself away (small chunks are fine, but writing is a huge part of my life) so I am happy to have my full name used at the top of my stories. But as time passes, and my pay-the-bills job has becomes more treacherous, I find myself starting to have mixed feelings about things. I imagine a prospective employer typing my...

Why I still hate Stonewall
Have you seen those ads on telly for video games? They are usually swish, with gorgeous graphics, and promise hours of entertainment. But then you look at the bottom of the screen to see the words, ‘Images not of actual gameplay’ which is a posh way of saying, ‘Don’t even think you’ll get to take part in something this good looking.’
That’s what...

NHS VIDEOS | Female ejaculation →
I wanted to find a video about female ejaculation as it features heavily in my latest erotic book, Ripper’s Redemption. I found this truly (and painfully) British take on the subject; “Carry On Squirting!” says the doctor at the end. It made me laugh and cringe in equal measure…

“I can't understand why more people aren't...
Bisexuals do not have twice the chance of a date on Saturday night. Believe me when I tell you that for many of us, we have twice the chance of being isolated and lonely when the weekend comes around. We have twice the chance of being written off and ignored by both queers and straights. When I tell someone that I’m bisexual I will generally not be believed. I have more than twice the chance...
